5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - Lift off... Day 4

Day 4 and finally time for the rocket launch!!

All the rockets we made yesterday was packed and almost ready to launch.

We were all eager to launch our rockets. When we arrived the Launch area we had to put an explosive device in to our rockets.

Finally, my rocket was complete and ready to launch.

We fastened our rocket to the rocket-launch.

Team Harmony had to take another group picture to remember this beautiful day! Go Team Harmony!

When all the rockets were ready, one by one went and fired their own rocket. Ready for take-off. T- minus 5 seconds. .5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 We have a lift off.

Ed Buckbee

When the rocket launch was over it was time for the guest Speaker of the day, Mr Ed Buckbee himself. He was the one who founded the Space Camp and the Museum: U. S. Space And Rocket Senter, here in Huntsville.

He gave an interesting lecture about Americas journey to Space. He also talked about how he built the Rocket Center and Space Camp to bring Space exploration to the people.

If you would like to learn more about this brilliant man you can do so here. It was truly an honor to meet him.

Water survival in the heat

After lunch, it was time for the Water Survival activities. We traveled to the Aviation Camp area; here we had a helicopter-crash simulation and a Zipline activity. It was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit so it was best to stay in the shadow as much as possible. We stayed in the water most of the time, but the water was also hot.

It wasn`t a real helicopter we sat in, but this thank that simulated a helicopter.

We had to pretend it was a real crash and had to scream and make some noise when we went down in the water. I actually, though we were doing the same simulation they do in the Nothern Sea, but this was much easier. We did not get our heads under water when we went down, but had to swim under water to get out. I actually learned a lot about myself from all these experiences. I am actually quite tough, and my confidence got stronger. I actually want to try a real dunk someday if I get the chance.

They of course had a real helicopter in the top. They had other simulations here that we did not get to try.

Then it was time for the zipline. 3 -2 - 1 gooo!!

SPHERO - workshop

This was one of the things we were introduced to that I really want to buy for my school. I will try to apply for a grant of some kind to buy these. These lovely, easy and cool little balls just blew my mind. We learned how to program them to change colour and do different missions. Want to learn more? check out this video on Youtube!

I got some Star Wars vibe from this also! As i said; LOVE IT!

MAT - Multi Axis trainer

This was one of the simulator I was worried about because I can get car-sick. But I had decided to try everything, no matter the cost. If you want to see how it went, look here!

The fourth day at Space Camp was over at 8.30 PM and look at the view! Love it!

Free-time and believe it or not: Axe-Throwing for fun! These people are amazing! Go Harmony!

.
One day left at Camp! Time passes to fast when you have so much fun! Never want it to end!
